slime Eel

I know I have posted something about this guy before but he's just too cool not to share agaiThe hagfish (or the "slime eel") produces a protein from the side of its body when threatened that, when mixed with water, creates a highly viscous slime. 
The slime is so effective, that is can even suffocate the predator!
